The Kay Meek Centre is the result of its founders visionary, Mrs. Kay Meek; a long term resident of West Vancouver and philanthropist. Kay Meek was a supporter of many Lower Mainland arts organizations and was instrumental in making the centre a reality today. The Kay Meek Centre is one of Western Canada's premier arts centres with two state-of-the-art theatres, holding up to 500 people in the larger theatre and 200 people in the more intimate studio.
The website is an information resource on what is happening in and around the centre. All of the events that are going on in the theatre are displayed through a managed Events Calendar as well as a custom developed Content Management System, ensuring that the latest information is available.
Future site expansions include a focus on fundraising efforts, providing online ordering for event tickets, allowing patrons to make donations, film presentations, workshops, provide employment volunteer opportunities, and tours.
